This distinguished recognition celebrates a business whose leadership, mentorship, and commitment to the community reflect the enduring values of Miami Valley’s most influential pioneers.

Presented annually, the Legacy Award pays tribute to the spirit of innovation, integrity, and service demonstrated by historic figures such as John Patterson, Wilbur and Orville Wright, Charles Kettering, Colonel Edward Deeds, and, most recently, Clay Mathile. Like these trailblazers, the recipient is chosen for their ability to inspire others, offer guidance and education, and leave a lasting impact across the region.

Since our founding in 1993 by Sam Greenwood, we have remained committed to not only excellence in service but also to meaningful community involvement. The selection committee recognized The Greentree Group for our commitment to the region, both through our outstanding reputation and significant financial support. To date, we have contributed more than $8.5 million to organizations throughout Miami Valley.
