Information Assurance Specialist

About the Opportunity

We need a talented individual to fill the role of Information Assurance Specialist. This position has an ADP/IT-I sensitivity classification. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform all aspects of Information Assurance (IA) support. Individuals must have experience that demonstrates a high level of competency in the required tasks. Information Assurance support will be in accordance with current DoD policies for IA and IA related matters, and with appropriate public law, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidance. The following are typical of the actions that shall be performed by the contractor as specified in subsequent Delivery Orders:

  • Assist and conduct compliance reviews and IA audits.
  • Perform IA risk assessments and make risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Prepare and maintain policy guidance and handbooks.
  • Develop and maintain IA training plans.
  • Assist in DeCA and DoD reporting requirements.
  • Assist in obtaining accreditations.
  • Perform Security test and evaluations
  • Prepare certification and accreditation documents.
  • Perform certification official duties.
  • Maintain IA databases and documents.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years related experience.
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years IA experience within DoD.
  • Proven experience working in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens and have the ability to maintain a NAC.
  • Capability to analyze complex IA problems and issues and recommend solutions that impact the enterprise.
  • Demonstrated experience with DoD IA policy and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Related Professional Certifications (CISA, MCSE, CCSP)
  • Familiar with Retail or Grocery Operations.
